Hi there, My husband and our two girls (10 and 8) are travelling to Japan for two weeks next year – yipee. Our daughter uses a wheelchair and we want to book the right hotels (Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo), hire a car with accessible access and possibly a tour guide for certain parts of our trip. I know this is very analog – but is there anyone at Accessible Japan that we can speak to about getting a guide and helping us sort all this out?

Hello,
Wilgo and Oshidori shuttle are the accessible taxi service based in Tokyo.

In Kyoto and Osaka, it’s very hard to find an accessible taxi service with English speaking drivers. In general, you need to book accessible taxi services and tour guides separately. Ohayo Travel, accessible tour agent based in Tokyo, may be able to arrange all you need.

Looks like you already go a great reply!
You may want to try posting questions under the “Discussions” tab in the Japan group as you are likely to have more people see it

In Tokyo there is royal Park hôtel with one room wich is équiped for wheelchair. It is on a good area to go and visit Tokyo ( subway accessible) and to arrive From the airport by a bus.
