I am a wheelchair user (the chair is a hybrid between a power and manual wheelchair) travelling to Tokyo, Okinawa, Kyoto and Osaka with my mom who is a lively 69 year old and a helper. My mom wants to see a lot of nature. 💚
Do you have any suggestions for nature routes that can be accessible for all of us? 💛
So far I have found Minoo Falls in Osaka via Accessible Japan 🧡

For Kyoto, the Philosopher’s Path is a nice walk, but not reaaaally nature. There is a train through a ravine that is in nature, but not a walk…
near Tokyo you could go to Hakone or Mt Takao?

What is the train with the ravine called and what destination does it go to?
Is Hakone and Mt. Takeo wheelchair accessible? Do you know of any nature routes there and what train stations we should go to in order to get there? Perfectly okay if not. ❤️

Hakone and Takaosan require some strength due to steep paths, but doable.
