Are there any wheelchair accessible Queer/Gay spaces (whether bars, coffeeshops, or community centers) in Tokyo?
Hey to all! I’ve been in a Japan (Tokyo and Chiba for an event) for a few days now and am curious about any queer spaces! I googled some bars and places but most seem to be accessible only with stairs…

I live in Ueno and I know there’s several bars in the hood (lots of rainbow flags too) Im pretty sure several ground level or maybe elevator ..
Im not gay but used to love going to clubs with my buds back in Canada… crazy effers! hahaha j/k well not really its true
If you use a chair Id be certain someone would assist you.. I go to a lot of bars and nothin funner than getting assisted by a group of friendly drunken Japanese folks! I got stories!1 -

@Josh Grisdale yes, apologies for not specifying where before! Edited the post. Currently staying in the Asakusa Area, which is pretty alright so far with the wheelchair.

What type of place? Small/discreet or…?
decadance is really diverse and can get pretty unhinged..
There’s about 4-5 smaller discreet spots on way to ueno station from our place .. Next time Im out ill try to get the locations and even see/ask if accessible and how so.

@TokyoGaijin preferably discreet places, but I’m also looking for big spaces. The problem is my Japanese isn’t that great. I can speak very basic only and can only read katak an and hiragana. I know some places only want strict Japanese speakers.
Thank your for your reply! I’ll be staying 3 more days, so no pressure with looking or asking. I’ll look around a bit in Shinjuku too and visit Ueno
