Just saw this video clip on FB where a mini pink ramp moves up/down and fwd to provide a level transition from the train to platform.
Anyone know if this is fake or real and if so, which station(s) has this?

This automatic wheelchair ramp on a Japanese train platform is seriously impressive 😃 It seamlessly bridges the gap between the train and the platform,...
Wheelchair Travel Japan6 Comments@joshgrisdale JR West has installed these devices at some stations for the Osaka Expo 2025😉
I am just coming back from a travel on Tokyo and Osaka and I have never seen that system in the subway or local train, but anyway on the subway a lot of stations have a very short gap between the train and the platform and when it’s not you still can come back to the ticket counter and ask for a slope.
@anhjon Hello AnhJon-san,
No, this is not a fake. It’s the real thing!
JR West installed them at some train stations for the Osaka Expo 2025!
It’s been featured in various news media, for example, you can watch a video on this website.

Japanese station platforms are often curved in structure, and there is sometimes a gap between the doors and the platform, so
I think it would be great if such a device were put into regular use!
1@joshgrisdale Thank you Josh-san,
Yes, I read in an article that they were installed at “Shin-Osaka Station” and “Sakurajima Station”, but I’m not sure if there are more now!
