• Hi everyone, new to the group! I am traveling to Japan to take my mother on a trip. She has a bad leg, and walks with a cane. I suggested we occasionally use a small manual wheelchair and reached out to Accessible Japan but never heard back from them.
Does anybody have a good recommendation of where to rent a small manual wheelchair in Tokyo (also visiting Kyoto and Osaka) we are leaving in under a week now and have no lead on this. Thank you!!!

      • Welcome. I have the same question lol I’ve been looking around so far I’ve found that the Haneda Airport has wheelchair rentals offered on their website. I haven’t tried to book one yet or anything. But I did see it there. Maybe you can start there?

        • i wnder if thats jsut for the airport or for the trip but thank you i will look into that. Wonder if Accessible Japan will get back before we leave. I will let you know what i find

Wilgo / Odekake has a small manual wheelchair that you can rent from Tokyo and use throughout your trip to different cities.

Because it’s electric, there’s no need to push — your mother can move freely under her own control.
It’s lightweight and compact, so you can take it almost anywhere.

It will be delivered to the hotel you specify at the time of booking.
You can also rent it in Tokyo and return it in Osaka.

You can make a reservation here:
