Quick report that Kawagoe Matsuri (mid-October) was a great trip yesterday! We walked from Kawagoe station via the shopping street to the main festival area with no issues; do note you may have to access the Shrine from a rear (paved) entrance, under the main gate is gravel. Finding a public bathroom right at one of the major intersections with a huge, feature-filled accessible bathroom was a plus (is this TMI ;)?)
