• Snowy Accessible Places?

I was wondering if there are any easy place in Japan to enjoy some snow that I could depart from Tokyo and enjoy nearby the station for 1 or 2 nights.

Is Sapporo accessible around this season?

I’m not sure Sapporo, but it is far from Tokyo.

        How about Niigata or Nagano.

        You may use Shinkansen.

        • @pao Thank you for your reply.
To me the distance is not the main problem: I wonder how the location accessibility works, example:
          – from station to closest hotel or resort
          – a station we can go outside, enjoy the snow and go without any challenge to hotel

I’ve visited a resort in Yamanashi last year and it was great, but I wonder if Sapporo, Niigata or any big station have some safe structure and “barrier free” experience in December.

I see station near hotel around 3-5min by walk and it is big and accessible.

Today there is snow around 20cm already .

There are snow , Onsen and food foods

But pls check weather, I worry bad weather make you trouble.

I’m wheelchair friendly taxi near Narita airport.

If you need taxi for Tokyo hotel from airport, I’m willing to bring you with your baggage.

          • If you are planning to go to Hokkaido, try this place: https://tour.kamui-daisetsu.org/wp/

            For Nagano, try: https://www.accessible-japan.com/places/japan/nagano/nagano-1/attractions/togakushi-universal-tourism-desk/

(No winter pictures but they certainly offer skiing options etc)
