    Hey Josh & Everyone.

After a fantastic 30day trip to Japan this yr (2024). Planning on returning next yr for a longer visit and with less pace, -have a closer look at things. Wanting to visit in Nth hemisphere summer period, for max tourist visa time of 90days.

Just found out that the World Expo is occurring in Osaka from APR25 to OCT25 (184days) The organizers are estimating/stating they expect attendance to be 28million people over the time. So that’s 152,174 extra people in Japan (Osaka and everywhere else) per day, as well as the Japanese population.

So; now not sure if next yr (2025) is best for our trip. Nothing booked yet, expect for all the plans.

Maybe too busy everywhere for me in my manual w/chair?

It was busy & congested this yr (2024) at main attractions/train travel/festivals/museums.

How busy and difficult to get around when the Expo is on? Both in Osaka & all over the country?

Were planning to send one-month in the Osaka/Kobe/Kyoto/Nara area. -(staying @ Toyoko Inn).

What do you think? too hard in w/chair with so many extra people, or workable?

    Rdgs

I guess it depends on your tolerance of extra people!

My personal feeling is that it won’t be as big as they expect/say as everything is behind schedule and a lot of people here are not really interested.

I think your biggest challenge will be getting a hotel as accessible rooms are already hard to get, but still should be possible.
