Hello, I would like to ask if Apple Pay is generally accepted in Tokyo. I am using iPhone SE 2nd Generation.

While this is not strictly accessibility related, I may have accessibility related follow up questions depending on the answer. Therefore, I have posted in this forum.

    Hi

You can certainly use it at nearly all convenience stores (maybe all of them?).

However it certainly isn’t used as much as in other countries.

You can buy a cash card called Suica and add it to your Apple wallet and pay with that.

@therealjapan is the best person to ask I think.

For the accessibility angle, the terminals tend to be fixed, so, it might be difficult to use if you cannot lift your phone to it. (Though I guess that is universal!)
