Hi. I am a new member of this group. I use a power wheelchair, manual wheelchair and sometimes a scooter. I am traveling with 2 friends To Japan in May. I am interested if there are any tour companies that you can recommend for different Japan locations. Also looking for a nice hotel in Tokyo for 2 nights. Any and all recommendations, warnings or musings about Japan are welcome!!

    hi Kate:

I think you have some information already on tours. As far as hotels, it depends on where in the city you’d like to stay. I can recommend the Tokyo Station Maronuchi and Hotel Celestine Ginza. I can get along without a fully disabled room and these had separate showers (not bathtub only- which is a deal breaker for me).

It’s not always fool proof but you can check website pictures to see what the accessibility in the rooms look like.

    Have a great time!

Sounds like you’ve got some good options for accessible tours and hotels in Tokyo. I’d second looking into CPN Travel – Heather is great to work with. Have a wonderful trip exploring Japan!
