New rules for luggage on the Shinkansen
While this news might look bad, it actually might be good for travelers with disabilities:
Hopefully this will make it easier to transport portable hoists etc

On your previous visit, did you have a large suitcase? How did you handle it on the shinkansen?

I had a large suitcase, but as I had my own apartment in Osaka, when I traveled within Japan I left it there. I only moved the suitcase from KIX airport to the apartment, so I never brought it to the Shinkansen.
