Sky Bus and Sky Duck buses are not accessible
The Sky Duck* bus has been around for a while but a new double decker “Sky Bus” has recently started driving around Tokyo.
We called to confirm, and as expected the bus is not wheelchair accessible. To get to the upper deck, users must go up a flight of steps. Even the lower floor is not accessible since it is used as luggage space.
*Sky Duck is an amphibious bus that goes on the streets and in the rivers around Tokyo. It has steep external steps only.
