Some of the hardest hit by the DAS changes are Annual Pass Holders since the cost of Genie + (or multipass or whatever it is called at the moment of typing this!) is very cost prohibitive for regular visits.
However, if you are a twice a year or less visitor, do the DAS changes affect your future Disney Parks plans?
2 CommentsI live in the Los Angeles area, am a former Disneyland Annual Passholder, and had it for 5 years. I went almost every Sunday.
Since I went so much before and have been denied a DAS under the new policy, I know that I won’t get to go on every ride with my limited energy levels. (I tire easily and last no more than 6 hours at the Parks.) So, I just pick the rides I feel that I must go on. I don’t mind if I don’t go on WINNIE THE POOH or BUZZ LIGHTYEAR, for example. Besides, I only go now for PRIDE NITEs and GAY DAYS. My priorities for those days are not the rides, but being with my fellow LGBTQIA+ Disney fans.
@carmitch Did you choose to renew your Annual Pass or are you still undecided? I agree with you, there is so much more to Disney than the rides. I just hate so much of the way things are now with the DAS pass. I still want to go because it is one of my favorite places and at the core it is more than the decision made by likely a few people, but I just hate giving the corporation money when before I didn’t even think that much about it (even though it is expensive!!!)
