Hmmm while a cool idea, going from the example in the image it seems like it may make the ALT text less useful. Perhaps a combination of the two might be better so that nothing essential is missed? Thoughts?

Just to add to these answers, you can also use this site to look up stations and see if scooters (sometimes referred to as “handle-type electric/power wheelchairs”) are allowed at that station.
