Travelling around Hokkaido
Any recommendation for wheelchair accessible transport for airport to hotel pickup, point to point or day trips?
View more commentsWhile we travelled in Hokkaido, we were able to take regular taxis from the airport – my wheel chair is foldable.
We have hired @ohayotravel for other parts of Japan so I am tagging them here in case they can assist.
Good luck and happy travels!1- View 3 replies
I’m sure there are many accessible taxis available in Hokkaido, but I’m not sure of any specific period. However I know that two of the companies listed here, TokudAw and Welhire, can help arrange taxis in that area as well so you might want to try giving them an… Read more

Yes, the general method is to buy tickets and then call the concert producers. (And they often have very specific hours.) It is done verbally with whoever is one the line, so most likely only Japanese…

Accessible accommodation in the USA
I’d like to visit my brother and sister in law and their family in Racine WI sometime in spring/early summer next year for 2 weeks. I’m also thinking of trying to see as many of my family and friends who live all across your wonderful country. I would like to stay in 2 central cities where people can come to see me (rather than me chasing all…
Hi Patty! Where are you visiting from? It looks like Racine is only 20 miles from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport – so it’s great that your family is near a major airport. Where do the others live? It is hard to pick one central city in the US I would say since a plane would likely be required either way, so maybe the second city…

Electric Bed Hotel
Hi,
I’m trying to find a hotel in Tokyo with a non-smoking universal twin room with an electric bed. We have found a few but they’re either financially prohibitive, or not available for our stay in September.
Apart from trawling lots of individual websites, does anyone have recommendations so that I can narrow down my search.
Thanks
View more commentsI have also been planning a trip for September. I have already done a ton of searching but so far I have a few good options for Tokyo. IDK your budget but I hope this helps narrow your search.

You should be able to get something nice for that budget. I have found several. I am staying for at least a month so I would like to find something nice thats more affordable. I did find a place with an electric bed. It was the grand nikko.Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba — that’s the one with the electric adjustable bed in the Universal Design… Read more
