Yes, getting around is much better than the past, but equal access to education and employment are a major issue still, unfortunately.

There are companies called HSA in Odawara (probably 20 min. by car from Hakone-Yumoto Station) and Hotoku Taxi in Hakone-Yumoto. They have a large cab with electric lift so they will be candidates?

Japanese do “Hatsumoude” or the first of the year worshiping visit to a temple or a shrine. Considering the accessibility status, I reccomend the below five for wheelchair users.

It can be controversial, but Yasukuni Shrine is very accessible (once on the grounds, there is a hill up to it though). There are ramps up to the sanctuary as well.- View 1 reply
