In Australia we have a nationally recognized card that a person carries that allows them to have companions enter an activity/ movie/ concert, etc for free or heavily discounted if that person is unable to attend without support. Is there anything like this in Japan, or does anyone know of an international version?
A new study sheds light on the travel patterns and obstacles faced by European travellers with mobility and accessibility needs. They found the biggest challenges to be:

Knowing if the pavements and roads will be accessible. Hoping that there’s enough accessible shops, cafes, tourist attractions that are without barriers to enter. Wondering where I might find an accessible toilet when out and about, getting pleasantly lost as I explore new surroundings.
