Hey guys,
I really quickly created an account to post this. I’ll be studying in Yamanashi, Japan, for 4 years starting September 2025, and since Yamanashi doesn’t have an abundance of buses and trains like the bigger cities, I wanted to get a Gentsuki license for a moped to make my day-to-day travelling easier (and I also wanna try my hand…
Megan3 CommentsHello, glad you found us! We can maybe look into this, but first I would suggest trying to get the equivalent in your own country as an international license, then you could just use that.

Hi
Just recently, a friend of mine developed an eye disease and was writing down information about his driver’s license, so I will write that down here.
“If the visual acuity in one eye is less than 0.3, the visual acuity in the better eye must be 0.7 or above and the visual field must be at least 150 degrees to the left and right.”

My fiancée uses a wheelchair, and we’re planning to move to Japan for a year starting in 2027. She can walk indoors and climb some steps, but she cannot go up multiple floors without an elevator.

Hi
My wife and I will be travelling to Japan. I use a foldable electric wheelchair for travel and can transfer into a seat. We will be using the Shinkansen.
We will also have one large suitcase.
Would we be better to book 2 seats with luggage space?
Do the wheelchair spaces have room for luggage?
Thanking you
Wheelchair seats on the Shinkansen are very limited and it appears that you can only book online for the Tokyo to Kagoshima route (please someone correct me if I am wrong). I have used a travel agent in Japan to book me wheelchair seats and they reported yesterday that they had difficulty getting them as the seats were fully booked as soon as… Read more
Thank you
Good morning. My name is Bruno, I’m from Portugal, I’m going to Japan for the first time this year. I have a Portuguese document that indicates that I have a 70% physical disability, is there any document in Japanese that I, as a tourist, can request that indicates that I have this disability?
Welcome to Japan in advance. If you don’t need official document, I think AI can translate document. If you need some medical documents, It is better to request Translation company specializing in medical translation.
1I will look into a translation programme for you. Could you please tell me how you create a post in this group please? Xx
