From Taipei to Okinawa power wheelchair issue
Just sharing an experience that I had recently while flying from Taipei to Okinawa (Naha) with EVA Air.
At Taipei international airport when checking in, they told me that in Naha, due to the airport’s regulation, I would not be able to use my power wheelchair and that I would have to pick it up at baggage claim with the rest of my luggage.

Thank you for your post. I am preparing for a trip to Japan and I have a power assist battery on my manual wheelchair also. It is seeming like I should just not even try to bring the power assist part so that my chair will not have a battery at all. These airports all seem to make everything difficult when there is a battery involved. It would…
