Merlion Park in Singapore houses the famous Merlion Fountain.  The body of the 8.6m tall statue symbolizes Singapore’s humble beginnings as a fishing village and its head represents Singapore’s original name, Singapura, or ‘lion city’ in Malay.

Despite being a major tourist photo spot, the park itself is a little inconvenient to get to as the nearest bus stops and train stations are at least a 5 minute walk away.

Once there, though, the pavement is new and smooth and easy to get around on.  One area is elevated but a ramp is available for wheelchair users.

Nearby restaurants are also wheelchair accessible.
