    Finding a toilet is something we all need to do – disabled or not.

    However, having a disability can make the search harder as not all toilets are wheelchair accessible.

    The government of Australia created a database of public toilets that is available via their website:

    https://toiletmap.gov.au/

    There are also apps available for iOS and Android.

    Note that it is a database of public toilets, and not just accessible toilets.  So, you cannot assume a toilet showing up there is going to be accessible.  But clicking on the toilet will give you details on whether there is an accessible toilet or not and descriptions of the accessible toilet features.

    Another thing to keep in mind is that some toilets require a special key called a MLAK key to access at certain times of the day. Hopefully visitors from abroad can buy these as well.  Here is more info on the key:
