I stumbled across this on twitter and thought it was a great idea!

No matter how much we alter our buildings, there isn’t much that can be done to make nature wheelchair accessible. In response to this, Dandenongs and Yarra Valley in Australia have purchased all-terrain wheelchairs so, with the help of “volunteer sherpas”, people with mobility needs can enjoy nature unrestricted by accessible paths.

    About the all-terrain wheelchair:

[has] adjustable seating and supports, making them suitable for adults and children with varying abilities. The chair is motorised, making it easier for users to explore some steeper and longer trails. It also easily disassembles and fits into the back of a station wagon or large vehicle.

While they are free, they should be booked in advance.
