    Hi

I took the Hakone-Yumoto Onsen Ryokan Shuttle bus a number of years ago and I’m a little foggy on the details.

I remember being surprised that even though it is a mini bus, there was a wheelchair lift in the back.

What I don’t remember is if all the buses had lifts, or only some do… does anyone know?

    Thanks!

    Hello

All of the buses have a lift in the back (see attached image).

    A few things to note:

    • There are limited rides available, so be sure to check the schedule both for getting to the onsen AND getting back as the return trips only run until check out time
    • When getting on at Hakone-Yumoto station, let staff know which bus you intend to ride on so they can insure you get on first
    • Ask the onsen to let the bus company know you will be on the bus at a certain time to ensure your space (if the bus is full, there may not be enough room to get on!)

    Hope this helps!
