    Hello,

Just wondering if the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is wheelchair accessible? How many people can ride in the cable car with a wheelchair user?

Once on top of the mountain, are most areas accessible?

    Thanks!

Hi Josh, yes Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is accessible. There is disabled parking near the ticket office and on our recent visit a staff member escorted us from the parking to the front of the ticket queue. There is an entrance with an elevator to the cableway platform. Access into the cable car is level and the cable car itself is large, so easy for a number of people to accompany you. The floor revolves for a 360° view, so just remember that when positioning yourself at the windows (my son’s spasticity keeps his legs straight out so I just made sure his toes weren’t against the window. There are accessible bathrooms at the top of the mountain, and most areas, where there are stairs also have an alternate route with ramps. The restaurant was also accessible for us. I posted a short video clip on our Twitter page yesterday for a bit of an idea, so take a look. (@AccessibleSA)
