Hi Patty! Where are you visiting from? It looks like Racine is only 20 miles from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport – so it’s great that your family is near a major airport. Where do the others live? It is hard to pick one central city in the US I would say since a plane would likely be required either way, so maybe the second city…

Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens
My Support Worker and I visited the Orchid Festival at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew on Friday, and it was magnificent. The displays inside the Princess of Wales Conservatory were stunning, with beautiful orchids, detailed jungle scenes, and a tribute to the Year of the Horse. They of course, had pandas, sea monkeys

I have such fond memories of this place! I used to go every year when I lived nearby. I was not yet using a wheelchair then, but even with my cane there were plenty of places to sit and admire the beautiful displays. Thanks for the wonderful photos!

Savill Gardens
We went to the Savill Gardens to have High Tea last month. We were met and taken to our table by a wonderful Maitre’ D. We all had the wonderful High Tea, which consisted of any type of loose-leaf tea. Windsor Castle
My two Support Workers and I went to Windsor on Friday. None of us had been before, and we were thrilled when we entered the Castle and the man at the gate told us the King was in residence. (I, of course, said it was because we were there! 😊)

Windsor itself
As none of us had been to Windsor before, we decided we needed to explore as much as possible. Windsor certainly didn’t disappoint! There were LOTS of Christmas markets, and the people manning the stalls were wonderfully chatty—which suited me perfectly, as I’m also incredibly chatty myself! 😊
