Love this article, I need to send this to Air Canada for not accepting me on board and booking me at a later time because of my wheelchair. Beforehand I was advised to call the customer assist and customer assist line told me to buy a new ticket since im late in arriving but 48 hours before i called Air Canada already and checked in on line…

anyone else get frustrated that just as accessible tourism is starting to (veeeery slowly) take off, all the conversations are about over tourism?

I don’t see a connection…yet. It’s just that some places are just sick and tired of idiot tourists causing problems. And, it’s not just Japan. Venice and other European cities are dealing with overtourism. Just remember, us tourists with disabilities aren’t causing the problems…yet. (Hey, we can be douchebags like people without disabilities, too. lol)

I believe United has such a board but I don’t think they publicise anything about its work. I totally agree that we support all businesses that work to support and understand our community!

not sure about boards, but I definitely try to support Delta when possible because of their prototype of flyers to be able to stay in their chair. I also have had good experiences with them with my scooter with them taking it seriously, and I have had found their customer service to be helpful!
