I went on a wheelchair accessible canal boat on the Wales/England border 30 years ago! They had an accessible canal boat (they have two now) and a wharf with a cottage and a couple of chalets that are accessible.

I was working with disabled schoolchildren back in the day and during summer 1988 or 1989 we took a group for a weeks holiday. They were split in to two groups, one based on the canal boat and the other in the cottage/chalets and on the Wednesday we swopped the groups over.

The boat was based at the wharf in Ellesmere (Shropshire), England and we took each group to Llangollen and back going over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. I was the videographer for the week.
