Anyone use Word Lens or other smart phone translators?
I’m probably going to bring my iPhone with me to Japan for my extended stay. I want to use a good camera translations app, maybe like Google Word Lens, mostly to ensure I don’t accidentally eat food from my intolerance list. Has anyone used it before? or recommend a different one? pros/cons? 🙂

Great question, however I would recommend a wheelchair rental over a scooter as some places (like train stations) do not easily support the use of scooters as much as wheelchairs.

Depending on what you want to do, queues could be an issue. However, if you steer clear of peak/rush hours you may not have many lines at all to deal with. I avoided these times myself and I didn’t have to wait long in any place I visited in Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, and a few other cities.
