Hello, my name is Elaine Lies (said to rhyme with “cheese,” not the obvious) and I’m a correspondent with Reuters here in Tokyo. I’m working on a story about Japan preparing to welcome service dogs for the Paralympics and using that as a look at general attitudes towards service dogs and their partners, as well as the disabled, in Japan.
