All members of TabiFolk who have the rank of Traveler and above can create their own group (about ranks). To create your group, go to the Groups page and click the Create a Group button.
You will be taken through a 6-step process to create your new group.
The Deatils step will help you get the basics set up. Choose a catchy name and then add a description to other users will know what your group is all about.
The Settings step will let you determine what your group will be. You can set the privacy level, the abilities of members, and the default notifications for the group.
If you want to have a Discussions tab for your group, you can select to create a discussion forum in the Group Forum step. (This can be skipped at setup.)
Like your personal profile, groups have a photo that is used around TabiFolk when new posts are made etc. You can upload an image in the Photo step. (This can be skipped at setup.)
The image used as a background on your group site can be uploaded in the Cover Photo step. (This can be skipped at setup.)
Finally, in the Invites step you can select users and send invites them invites to be your group’s first members. (This can be skipped at setup.)
Clicking the Finish button will end the setup and take you to your brand new group!
Don’t worry about getting everything right at the setup, all of the settings can be changed afterwards.
